Amorphous E-core

E-Cores are manufactured with iron-based amorphous Alloy. Their unique combination of low loss and high saturation flux density take advanced power conditioning applications to higher performance levels than previously possible with conventional ferromagnetic materials.

Application: Reactor cores for PV inverter Filter reactor of high-frequency super switching power supply Major-transformer of UPS power supply High-frequency transformers for X-ray CT,induction heating equipment, welding machines, and communication equipment Inductors for power regulators for photovoltaics, wind power, fuel cells, etc Inductors for boost/buck converters for HEV,FCV,UPS,etc Features: High saturate induction-Reducing core volume Rectangular structure-Easy for coil assembling Core cutting-Good for anti-DC-bias-saturation Low core loss-anti-termpearture-rising(1/5-1/10 compared to silicon steel) The core loss of cut cores is much lower than other magnetic metal materials The high saturation fux density (Bs=1.56T) and low core loss characterstics of the cut cores allow the design of applicatons with high operating flux densities Good stability-Stable working from -55°C to 150C Craftsmanship Amorphous alloys are formed by adding a certain amount of glass forming agent to the molten metal, and rapidly quenching and casting using a narrow ceramic nozzle under high temperature melting conditions. Amorphous alloys have the similar characteristics of glass structure, which not only make them have excellent mechanical properties, physical properties and chemical properties, but more importantly, the new technology of producing amorphous alloys using this rapid quenching method is less than the cold-rolled silicon steel sheet process. 6 to 8 processes can save energy consumption by 60% to 80%, which is an energy-saving, time-saving and efficient metallurgical method. Moreover, the amorphous alloy has low coercivity and high magnetic permeability, and its core loss is significantly lower than that of oriented cold-rolled silicon steel sheet, and its no-load loss can be reduced by about 75%. Therefore, the use of amorphous alloys instead of silicon steel sheets to manufacture transformer cores is one of the main means to save energy and reduce consumption in today’s power grid equipment.
